Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday hit out at the Congress, saying the party cannot develop India or work for the welfare of the poor.

Addressing BJP workers in Udaipur, he described Congress as a dynastic and directionless party.

Earlier, Mr Shah reached Bikaner in Rajasthan for the BJP’s state election committee meeting in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. From Bikaner, the Union Home Minister went to Udaipur where he addressed a meeting of party workers.

Mr Shah is also scheduled to meet prominent citizens in the state capital Jaipur in the evening.

Mr Shah said, “The Congress party cannot develop India. It cannot provide welfare to the poor.” He said that the Modi government has done many public welfare works in the last 10 years.

He also said that Congress is unable to make India proud. “Congress is a dynastic party. It is also a directionless party.” Shah also alleged that the Congress “kept the Ram temple issue pending” and always kept asking the BJP as to when the temple would be built.

He said, “The party never intended to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya.”

He said, “We had sworn that we will build the Ram temple. Lord Ram, who is worshiped by crores of people, was humiliated in a tent. The Congress had kept the Ram temple issue pending.”

Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, Shri Shah said that in the last 10 years, the Modi government brought 25 crore people out of poverty, gave houses to the poor, worked to strengthen the country, removed Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. And India is the fifth largest economy in the world.

He said that during the Congress rule, terrorists from Pakistan used to enter India and carry out blasts, but the Modi government carried out surgical and air strikes against terrorists in Pakistan.

Mr Shah said the government has worked to provide good governance and even PM Modi’s opponents cannot make any allegations regarding corruption.

Taking aim at the previous Congress government in Rajasthan, he said that women and Dalits were not safe and there were often riots but now a “double engine” government has been formed and there will be a safe environment for women and Dalits and the state will be free. From riots.

He also said that the Modi government has done the work of giving respect to the tribal community and has made Draupadi Murmu the President of India.

Mr Shah also appealed to the people to vote for BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for the development of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
