Conference Board report estimates the growth of 1.5 percent GDP for this year

Canadian conference board is estimating the economy this year

Kori Rainer, Associate Director of Economic Forecast at the Conference Board, says the economy performed better in the first quarter, but the pace is quickly disappearing.

The report states that the housing market is under rapid pressure, while the business area is also for a difficult ride.

Rainer says that business disputes are shaking in many sectors of the economy and are expected to reduce growth in the remaining year.

The report said that Canadian exporters have moved to new markets with some success.

It is also said that business is expected to suffer from investment, with concerns over the business relationships of Canada-America, to suppress the expenses.
