CM Yogi celebrates ‘Matri Shakti’, performs the girl Pujan of 9 girls, which symbolizes 9 God of Goddess Durga

Gorakhpur, Oct 1 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Keeping with the age-old traditional Navratri. He Paid Reverence to the Matri Shakti and Performed Kanya Pujan of Nine Girls, Symbolising Nine Forms of Goddess Durga.

The Chief Minister’s adherence to rituals, almost every year, reflects their confidence in the power of women and focuses on bringing desirable changes in their commitment and dignity, safety and empowerment of women. In fact, the Chief Minister has translated into reality by bringing this feeling into many female-centric schemes.

During the Kanya Pujan ceremony on Wednesday, CM Yogi washed the feet of nine girls, which symbolizes the nine forms of Goddess Durga. He worshiped him according to custom rituals, wrapped him with ‘Chunari’, did Aarti, served him with devotion, and then gifted him and sought his blessings. He also demonstrated Batuk Pujan (worship of young boys).

The Chief Minister also worshiped a six -month -old girl and took her blessings. In another symbolic gesture, he applied a tilak for a boy dressed as Hanuman, wrapped him a garland and a cloth on his shoulders.

After rituals, CM Yogi served the girls and boys freshly served Prasadam. Along with nine girls, they performed Aarti for a large number of young girls and Batuks (boys), who gathered. All of them were honored with gifts and south.

Later, the Chief Minister, while serving food, warmly engaged with the children and also instructed the organizers to ensure that there is no shortage of any devotee. Jagadguru Swami Santoshchari, also known as Satua Baba from Kashi, was also among the people present on the occasion.

Before Kanya Pujan, CM Yogi worshiped Goddess Siddhidati in the power of the temple in the morning worship session.
