Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today addressed the TEDX event as the chief guest at JK Public School Kunjwani, motivating the students to challenge the border and embrace the theme “Beyond Bounders”.
Talking to a hall filled with students, besides other noted speakers and school administration, the Chief Minister said that boundaries exist everywhere, in geography, politics, laws and boundaries, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes as a ban. He said that people often create self-bounds of size by experiences or stereotypes. “These boundaries can be real or imagined, but came from crossing every great exploration and progress limits of civilization,” he said.
Encouraging students to set high targets, they urged them not to let the boundaries back. “Set elevated goals. Until you test your boundaries, you can’t create a unique identity for yourself,” he said. He advised them to speak, ask questions and never let them go silent. The penis, background or appearance, he said, should never be a hindrance to achievement.
At the same time, he reminded the students to distinguish between restrictive or imaginary boundaries and land rules. He said, “Go beyond the boundaries, but the law should never do this at any time by violating the law.”
The Chief Minister told the gathering, “Set many goals and try to spend your life to achieve them. It is meaningful to chase, no matter what the result is.”
Other speakers who shared their views in the event included educationists like Professor Amitabh Mattoo and Usha Mani.
