Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah traveled to Jammu in Vande Bharat Express for a semi-high-speed train service on traditional methods of the yatra.
Omar Abdullah captioned the post, “As the head of Jammu,” made his own clear images from the train window, forming the background with the modern interiors of Vande Bharata.
Wande Bharat Express, which is known for its comfort, speed and modern features, refers to India’s extended railway modernization.
Earlier last week, Farooq Abdullah, the head of the National Conference, traveled in the Vande Bharat train and paid the permission at Maa Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra.
Farooq Abdullah said that he had a ‘good philosophy’ in Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and prayed for prosperity and brotherhood in the field.
According to railway officials, the Wande Bharat Express working on the newly launched Katra-Srinagar road, with booking for the next 10 days, is seeing huge demand from passengers.
In particular, the bridge over the Chenab River, being the highest bridge in the world, is a milestone project for Indian Railways, which was completed after several ups and downs in a difficult area. It connects Kashmir to Jammu and all over the country through rail.
“This is the biggest gift to connect Jammu and Kashmir with all over the country … When I crossed the Chenab Bridge, I had tears in my eyes. Finally, the day has come when we can travel from Kashmir to the country by train. I want to congratulate all the workers and engineers who built this bridge …” He said.
On June 6, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two Wande Bharat Express trains from Katra railway station, connecting the Jammu division with Kashmir directly.
The New Vande Bharat Express train will take about three hours to travel between Katra and Srinagar, reduce the current journey time by two to three hours. These trains are especially designed to operate under the cold climatic conditions of the Kashmir Valley.
The train will run through the Anji Khad Bridge, which is India’s first cable-sted railway bridge and Chenb Bridge, the world’s highest railway arch bridge.
Architectural Marvel Chenab Rail Bridge is the world’s highest railway arch bridge located 359 meters from the river. It is a 1,315 m tall steel arc bridge which is an engineer to face seismic and air conditions.
The USBRL project is 272 km long, which is constructed around Rs 43,780 crore, including 36 tunnels (extending up to 119 km) and 943 bridges.
The project establishes all-vender, seamless rail connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country, which aims to change regional mobility and run socio-economic integration.
