CM Omar Abdullah organized a public outreach program at Raibita office

Srinagar, May 23: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah organized a weekly public outreach program at the Chief Minister’s Rabita office in Srinagar today, which was directly attached to the public to address his issues and concerns.

Former J&K Minister Mohammad Ashraf Mir attracted the attention of various developmental challenges in Yajn, Panth Chowk and surrounding areas.

Students of SPS Library, MA Road Lal Chowk requested the expansion of hours of the library and solution to internet connectivity and other student-related issues.

The CM assured the delegation of the students, “Libraries are important for a teaching society-we are committed to making them more modern and adapt to the student. All real concerns will be noted.”

A delegation led by Pirzada Masood Hamdani of Khanka-e-Maula raised concerns related to the maintenance and development of Khanha Tirtha along with other local matters.

Retired Veterinary Employees presented issues related to payment discrepancies and pension dispensing. Similarly, J&K Sports Council employees demanded the Chief Minister’s intervention regarding giving pension benefits to the council employees.

Social workers associated with special cells advocate the continuity of special cells for women in Jammu and Kashmir.

Employees of J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) also met the Chief Minister, so that they could discuss matters related to their career progress and other employment concerns.

A delegation of blind and physically challenged individuals led by Shokat Ahmed Loan highlighted several major issues, including free public transport, access to educational institutions and government offices, skill development programs, and establishment of single-window systems for grievance redressal.

In addition, a delegation led by hotelier Mashtak Burza appealed for government support in the revival of tourism and raised major concerns related to industry, trade and hospitality.

Representatives of Kishtwar voiced their concerns related to Waqf properties and other local development related issues.

Seating and many other delegations involving former MLAs, public representatives and concerned citizens also met the Chief Minister, such as old age pension, access to potable drinking water, and infrastructure development in their respective constituencies.

The Chief Minister patiently listened to all the delegations and assured the early and priority-based redressal of his real concerns.

Spot instructions were issued by the Chief Minister in several cases to ensure a sharp solution of complaints.

“We are committed to listening, resolving issues and building a responsible and people-centric government,” he said.

CM’s advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani and other senior officials were present during the public hearing.
