Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with Water Power Minister Javed Rana, and advisor to the government, Nasir Sogamy, on Thursday, flagged off a fleet of 10 new water tankers as part of the government’s effort to ensure uninterrupted water supply during the seam.
The initiative launched under the Water Power Department aims to address an increase in demand for water, often seen during the holy month, especially in areas hosting large religious ceremonies and processions.
Water tankers will be strategically deployed in Srinagar, Budgam and other major areas known on local needs.
