CM Omar Abdullah interacted with ICAI members at his 445th council meeting in Pahgam

The Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, today interacted with members of India’s Chartered Accountants (ICAI) during the 445th Council meeting, held at the picturesque tourist destination in Pahgam.

130 members of ICAI, including their families, are attending a four -day meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister thanked the Ikai for choosing Pahgam as a venue for such a historic event for such a historic event after the unfortunate and tragic event in Baisran in April this year.

The Chief Minister said, “Your presence here is not only symbolic; it is a true morale booster for all of us in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Saying this, “This place shows its flexibility and your faith in its future. The fact that you have come here with your families, it sends a powerful message of confidence and support.”

The Chief Minister highlighted the long -standing contribution of ICAI to nation building and acknowledged the global presence of the organization.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation between ICAI and J&K government in promoting good governance, transparency, cost-skill, and better accounting systems at the grassroots level including panchayats, urban local bodies and smart cities.

He said, “Governments should use the best possible use of public money. We can adapt and implement solutions that improve the quality of services and life for our people,” he said.

While reflecting the flexibility of Pahalgam, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that despite the tragic events earlier this year, the city successfully hosted the Amarnath Yatra, seeking more than four lakh pilgrims. He said, “Your journey immediately after those difficult times is encouraging and humble,” he said.

The Chief Minister invited the ICAI members again to visit Jammu and Kashmir and discovered many of his attractions from Pahgam, including Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Srinagar.

Quoting a Kashmiri, “Vande Chel, Sheen Gal’e Bhey Ayri Bahr” (winter will pass, snow will melt, and spring will come back), the Chief Minister said, “Your presence is a will for this fact here. I always thank us for being part of that renewal and tries to travel again.”

The Chief Minister enhanced “MSME Revenue” through the target government initiative to “Policy from Profits: Amplifying MSME Revenue. ,

Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, President Ekai, Charanjot Singh Nanda appreciated the Chief Minister for his time to participate in the ICAI event.

“Your appearance has actually promoted us a morale,” said President Ikai.

He encouraged members to contribute to all capabilities to ensure the economic growth of J&K and the students of J&K under various initiatives of ICAI.
