Sainik School Nagrota marked his 56th day with an important milestone as the Chief Minister of the center region of Jammu and Kashmir, inaugurating the newly built girls’ hostel ‘Triveni’.
On arrival, the Chief Minister was given a formal Guard of Honor and paid tribute to the Shaurya Memorial to pay tribute to the brave of the school. He later joined employees for a group photo to convince the occasion.
The event was attended by senior officials of Headquarters 16 Corps, including Lieutenant General PK Mishra, AVSM, YSM, SM, GOC Headquarters 16 Corps and Major General Paramvir Singh Dagar, VSM, COS AchQ16 Corps, along with the students of the school’s education department and school.
The Rising Day celebrations began with the traditional cake-coting ceremony, where the Chief Minister Cadet was associated with Stanjin Chosiyal (School Cadet Captain) and Cadet Ayush Shaan (Junior-Sasti more cadets).
Captain (In) Shibu Devia, Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, presented a specially designed school memento to the Chief Minister, which reflects the ethos of knowledge, bravery and discipline. The Chief Minister also interacted with the employees during a high tea and wrote the words of encouragement in the books of visitors, accepting the role of the school in nation-building.
The inauguration of the girls’ hostel ‘Triveni’ was the main attraction of the day, which outlines the commitment to the incorporation of the school, modern residential facilities and the leadership opportunities for the girl cadets. The hostel opens a new chapter in the school trip, by ensuring that girls gain the same environment as their male counterparts, which excel in service to academics, discipline and nation.
