CM Omar Abdullah bid farewell to the first batch of Haj pilgrims at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar, May 04, KDC: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah sent the first batch of Haj pilgrims of Jammu and Kashmir hot, wished his safe journey and Mansik-e-Haj for his smooth performance.

The Chief Minister reached Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport Srinagar in the early hours of this morning, where he interacted with pilgrims before his departure. A total of 178 pilgrims took a direct flight to Saudi Arabia.

Talking with the pilgrims, the Chief Minister hoped for his goodness and spiritually for Haj-e-Betullah. He urged them to pray for permanent peace, prosperity and progress in Jammu and Kashmir and pray for the protection of their people with victims and adversity.

The Chief Minister was his advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Bidhuri and others.

The pilgrims thanked the Chief Minister for the detailed and efficient arrangements made in both Haj House and Srinagar International Airport.

Detailed facilities have been installed for the convenience of pilgrims, including smooth transport, boarding and housing, goods verification, safety screening, refreshments, food, prayers, distribution of travel documents and early issuance of boarding passes. (KDC)
