CM of Haryana says that PM Modi aims to develop India by 2047

Chandigarh, October 2 (IANS) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, and the path to achieve this goal is ‘vocal for local’, self -reliance and ‘Swadeshi’.

He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Diwali fair at Surajkund in Faridabad.

Earlier, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.

He also greeted people on the festival of Vijayadashami.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Saini said that this year’s Diwali fair is to be held in Surajkund.

Drawing similarities with India’s independence movement, CM Saini said that as soon as the indigenous movement “strengthened our struggle for freedom, it will also strengthen India’s journey towards prosperity”.

He urged people to buy-in-India products who work hard for Indian youth.

The Chief Minister said that the Diwali fair, which will be held by 7 October, serves as a vibrant platform for festive, local business, culture and art.

He said that the fair also boosts the morale of artisans across the country.

“When you buy products from here, you not only encourage artisans, but also contribute to making India self -reliant,” he said.

CM Saini said that a nationwide is being organized to convert indigenous pledge to the movement of a nationwide Bharata Shankalap campaign.

This campaign will continue till 25 December, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Chief Minister highlighted the artifacts, products, music and performances displayed at the fair, reflecting a small image in India.

The cultural field reflects the spirit of ‘Ek India, Shrestha Bharat’.

The fair also offers rural producers an opportunity to understand urban consumer preferences.
