Patna, September 18 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a closed door meeting at Hotel Maurya in Patna, in which there were intense political speculation in front of the state assembly elections.

Sources suggest that the seat-sharing system for NDA in Bihar and discussion on overall election strategy.
This was the first major formal meeting between Nitish Kumar and Amit Shah since the earlier return in NDA Guna in 2024.
Political observers believe that its results can give a considerable shape to the pre-staunch dynamics of Bihar.
Reports of friction within the NDA alliance on seat distribution have been roaming for a week. While both BJP and JD (U) are keen to claim dominance, allies have also carried forward their demands.
LJP (Ram Vilas), led by Chirag Paswan, has demanded “respectable” representation, Jamui MP Arun Bharti claims to be anywhere between 43 and 137 seats.
Hindustani Awam Morcha, LED by Jitan Ram Manjhi, Has Demanded 20 Seats.
Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Bihar, where it is going to organize a series of high-level organizational meetings aimed at strengthening the BJP before the 2025 assembly elections.
On Thursday, Shah will reach Dehri in Rohta district to meet party employees at the ground level.
The region holds special significance for the BJP, as in the 2020 Bihar assembly elections, the party managed to win only two out of 20 seats in the Shahabad belt, including Rohta, Kaimur, Bhojpur and Buxar districts.
After Rohta’s meeting, Shah will travel to Begusarai, where he is expected to preside over another session with local MPs, MLAs, MLCs and District Presidents to detect the election roadmap out and organizational challenges.
The inner sources of the party suggest that Shah’s visit is part of the BJP’s strategy to reinforce weak areas and raise cadre base in areas where the party weakened in 2020.
