Kurnool, October 16 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
He is also confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory journey will continue.
Sharing the stage with Prime Minister Modi at a public meeting in Nannuru village in Kurnool district, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president said, “We are confident that the NDA will be victorious in Bihar and PM Modi’s victory march will go ahead.”
CM Naidu, who heads the TDP-led NDA government in Andhra Pradesh and is a key partner in the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, surprised everyone by reading out the prepared text and making brief remarks in Hindi.
The Chief Minister said that PM Modi’s victory in all elections will be India’s victory. “This will be a victory for all of us,” he told the audience.
He also prayed to Srisailam Brahmarambha Mallakarjuna Swami to give strength to PM Modi to continue the progress of the country and fulfill the dream of ‘Developed India’.
CM Naidu remarked that Andhra Pradesh is getting double benefits from the double engine government of NDA at the Centre. CM said that with the support of PM Modi, the state is getting maximum investment.
He praised PM Modi for taking important decisions to increase the pace of progress of the country with GST 2.0 reforms.
The Chief Minister noted that India, which was ranked 11th among the world’s top economies 11 years ago, has now moved up to the fourth position and expressed confidence that India will become a superpower by 2047.
The Chief Minister also said that through Operation Sindhur, India has demonstrated its military might to the world.
He said that due to the latest reforms in GST, 99 per cent of goods have come under the tax bracket of zero to 5 per cent, providing significant relief to the poor and middle class, and also benefiting traders and MSMEs.
He claimed that GST reforms will save every family up to Rs 15,000 annually. He revealed that GST reforms are being celebrated like festivals from Dussehra to Diwali. The state government organized 98,000 programs under its GST awareness campaign.
The CM said that in response to PM Modi’s Swadeshi call, activities have been initiated to indigenously produce everything from semiconductors to satellites and from chips to ships.
He said that the help that Prime Minister Modi has provided to the state in the last 16 months cannot be forgotten. With the Centre’s help, Amaravati work was restarted, the Polavaram project was brought back on track and the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was strengthened.
