Sources in the state secretariat said that he is in regular contact with the Chief Secretary of the state Manoj Pant and the top administrative officials every day.

The meteorological office has already said that a new low pressure system can bring heavy rains during Durga Puja.
Due to the low pressure area developed in a depression on Navami (Wednesday), heavy rains are expected on Thursday and Friday.
Due to the forecast of some sea status, fishermen from Bengal and Odisha have been asked not to go near the sea from October 1.
The Chief Minister is continuously giving instructions to the top officials from home so that the safety and comfort of the common people can be maintained during Durga Puja.
According to administrative sources, a control room has been opened for Durga Puja from 26 September to 7 October.
The control room will be operational during Kali Puja (20 to 24 October) and Chhath Puja (27 to 28 October).
An officer of the post of Secretary will be present at all times.
Officers will work in two shifts to maintain a 24-hour monitoring.
From weather to law and order – this monitoring system will be active to deal with such situations.
Sources said that Chief Minister Banerjee wants the festival to conclude peacefully and without any untouched incident.
If an emergency arises, all steps will be taken.
Special focus has been focused on weather forecasting as a large number of people are coming to Kolkata to visit Pooja Mandaps.
Therefore, arrangements are made and officers and government employees are placed on high alert.
