Country Evergreen Star Chrisilla Anderson dies at 45.

chrisilla died colon cancer — a diagnosis she’s been publicly open about since 2018 — her photographer announced Tuesday in an emotional Instagram post sharing the hip-hop dancer’s final statement.

“If you’re reading this, I’ve finally arrived in the arms of Jesus – at peace and surrounded by love,” Chrisilla said in a statement posted to her social media account. “Please don’t live in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard and I loved deeply. I’m not gone… I’m home.”

She is survived by her three children, along with her former husband, country star Coffey Anderson, and her former stepdaughter. The former couple were married in 2009 and Coffey filed for divorce in 2022.

Chrisilla wrote in her goodbye message, “My baby… I’m watching over you. When a moment feels warm, familiar or coincidentally so beautiful – that’s me. I’m still mothering you. I’m still yours.” Be gentle with each other. Keep my kids close. And remember: Heaven is not as far away as it seems.

The blended family, including Coffey’s daughter from a previous marriage, was highlighted in the 2020 Netflix show Country Evergreen. The show featured Crisilla undergoing treatment for stage three colon cancer while raising her children and still working as a dancer.

Chrisilla danced for years with artists like Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, and Britney Spears. She previously worked as a choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and also appeared in a Netflix documentary about the team.

Coffey paid tribute to his ex-wife in a social media post, saying that she “defined strength and fighter like no other person on this planet.”

“Today heaven got a star,” the singer wrote. “We miss you already. Our hearts are broken. Our minds are confused. Our lives will never be the same. The house is quiet because you’re missing. The kids are as resilient and strong as ever. We did good to them. So, dance your hearts out on the beach in heaven.”

Actor Viola Davis paid tribute to Chrisilla on social media, writing, “Beautiful, fitting tribute. My heart and prayers are with you.”

American Idol “It’s devastating,” said former student Danny Gokey. Another reality star, duck dynasty Corey Robertson said, “I’m so sorry! Heartbroken for your family. Keeping you up in our prayers. God stay close.” Reality star Todd Chrisley commented, ,Heartbreak is an exaggeration, rest easy my beautiful friend, you will always be loved and thought of.
