Chris Woakes believe that England should be either mark wood Or jofra archer available to everyone ash Test whether they have what it takes to win in Australia.
Both bowlers have been prone to injuries throughout their careers and former England all-rounder Woakes has cited fitness as a key factor that will help the team come out on top.
Speaking on The Overlap and Betfair’s Stick to Cricket show, Woakes said: “England have to keep everyone fit in some way, shape or form.
“It’s not just being fit and on the park it’s not being tired, not being tired – thinking about someone who has played all five Tests is going to be hard work. I think it’s important to play a Test match at every point where Joff or Woody is.”
Woakes was expected to be in the field for the series starting in Perth on 21 November, but retired from international cricket after being dropped from the team.
“I think it’s the best opportunity the boys have had since 2010-11, so it would have been great to be a part of it,” he said.
