Following the weigh-in at York Hall, Chris Eubank Jr has promised a “fight of the decade contender” against Connor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday.
Eubank Jr. successfully weighed in at 159.1 pounds on Friday, which was slightly less than his opponent, who weighed in at 159.3 pounds.
Both fighters comfortably made the 160-pound middleweight limit, setting the stage for their highly anticipated bout.
This spontaneous process was in stark contrast to their previous encounter in April.
On that occasion, Eubank Jr. weighed in at 160.2 pounds on his initial attempt, followed by 160.5 pounds on his second attempt, confirming his failure to make weight.
The oversight led to the 36-year-old Brighton fighter forfeiting a whopping £375,000 (US$500,000), which was paid directly to Ben.
Ben later uses this money to buy a luxury Rolls-Royce car.
However, Eubank Jr made sure he would not repeat that mistake, allowing the final bout at London’s historic boxing venue to pass without incident.
The sons of Chris Eubank senior and Nigel Benn were not with their father at York Hall – where each of the four men fought – as the two British favorites sparred furiously back and forth over their children at Thursday’s press conference.
Nevertheless, the packed crowd was on hand to witness a lengthy face-off where no words were needed after much negotiation over the past three years, as the original 2022 clash was canceled after Benn failed a drugs test.
The famous sons finally stepped into the ring together in April and produced a classic where Eubank Jr. claimed a unanimous decision victory after all three judges scored the fight 116-112, putting his family up 2-0, but he promised an exciting fourth installment.

Eubank Jr. said: “I feel good. Everything is on track for a knockout victory for Chris Eubank Jr.
“I was born and bred to fight. I can’t wait to go out there tomorrow and show the world once again what I’m made of.”
“The first fight was a fight of the year contender. This fight is going to be a fight of the decade contender.”
Mutual respect was promoted on 26 April, meaning there were no major fireworks during this fight week.
It started with Eubank Jr.’s announcement ahead of Tuesday’s grand arrival that he would soon be a father to twins and the family affair spilled over into Wednesday’s open workout, where Conor Benn was joined in the ring by father Nigel.
It’s a picture for the ages when Eubank senior made a surprise appearance at a press conference in Canary Wharf on Thursday and despite a heated exchange with old rival Ben, whom he branded a “liar” over his claims he was paid to appear in April, it ended with both father and son posing side-by-side for a photo.
After no fresh action at Friday’s weigh-in, attention may turn to Saturday night – albeit after both men complete the 170-pound rehydration stretch – where the fourth and reportedly final installment of the Eubank-Benn rivalry will come to a conclusion.
A bitter feud that began in 1990 will end 35 years later, with three thrilling bouts, a failed drugs test, an egg slapped on a fighter’s cheek and a father and son reunion in the most dramatic fashion already part of the story.
“Don’t miss it,” insisted little Ben.
“For this fight I’m going to work hard and come the way I am. Chris can do whatever he wants. I’m not worried about him and what he does. After all, I’m fighting a middleweight, that’s why I came at middleweight.
“I’m excited to get out there and do business and put on a great show for the fans.”
