Dreja was born on 11 November 1945 in Serbiton, England. Through his brother, he met Anthony “Top” Topum, with which he will eventually form the yardbirds.
In 1963, Dreja and Topham, singer and Harmonica player Keith Relf, Basist Paul Samvel-Smith and drummer Jim McCarthy, metropolitan blues quartet, bluz band co-install, which later developed in Yardbords.
The Dreja band’s rhythm began as a guitarist, but turned into bass in 1966 after the departure of Samvel-Smith and the arrival of the page. Over the years, the group also saw Eric Clapton And Jeff Bake Pass as lead guitarists.
The band released a total of six studio albums, including the beginning of 1964, Five live yardbirdsBefore he broke in 1968.

After their partition, the page formed the lead zepelin, giving Dreja the role of a basist. Dreja refused to choose instead of making a career in photography. He ended the shooting of LED Zepelin on the back side of his debut album.
