Chirag Paswan believes NDA will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar

The BJP (Ram Vilas) is contesting from Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui seats.

Bihar NDA alliance member Chirag Paswan is confident about his party’s performance in the five seats it is contesting. Pawan accompanied his brother-in-law Arun Bharti to file nomination from Jamui today.

The BJP (Ram Vilas) is contesting from Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui seats.

Chirag Paswan, the sitting MP from Jamui Lok Sabha constituency, has allotted the seat to Arun Bharti this time. Chirag himself is contesting against his uncle Pashupati Paras for the Hajipur seat.

In a brief interaction with the media, Chirag said, “There is no doubt that the NDA alliance will win all 40 seats (in Bihar). Our alliance candidates will be contesting in Gaya, Jammuj and Nawada today Submit your nomination.”

BJP Bihar chief and deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary also expressed confidence in the alliance’s victory

“NDA candidates will file their nominations today. Our target is to win all 40 seats (in Bihar),” said Samrat Choudhary.

Meanwhile, Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) leader and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Jitan Ram Manjhi filed his nomination from Gaya on Thursday.

While BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Vivek Thakur, son of former Union minister CP Thakur, will file his nomination from Nawada, the seat is represented by LJP (Paras) Chandan Kumar, who was elected in 2019.

On March 18, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) announced seat-sharing in the Bihar Lok Sabha polls, with the BJP contesting 17 seats and the JD-(U) 16. Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RLSP) will contest from one seat each. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest from five seats.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the New Democratic Alliance, consisting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Tehreek-e-Insaf and the LJP, dominated the 2019 elections, winning 39 out of 40 seats.

In comparison, the Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD, INC and RLSP, got only one seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 17 seats with 24.1% of the vote; the United Democratic Party won 16 seats with 22.3% of the vote; and the Liberal Party won 6 seats with 8% of the vote. INC could only secure one seat, with 7.9% of the vote.
