Chiner Corps Commander Kupwara reviews preparations with LoC at Post Operation Sindoor

Chiner Corps General Officer Commanding (GOC) Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava on Thursday reviewed the operational preparations with the Line of Control (LOC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, ‘Post’ Operation Sindoor.

During his visit to further areas in Kupwara, Lieutenant General Srivastava interacted with the soldiers and appreciated them for courage, dedication and professionalism during the recent ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

In a post on X, Chiner Corps said, “Chiner Corps Commander reviewed the operating preparation, post operation vermilion with the line of control in Kupwara. During the conversation, he recently appreciated the soldiers for his exemplary courage, unbreakable dedication, unrighteous professionalism, and unfiting feedback during the ceasefire violation.”

He said, “He underlined the importance of incredible vigilance, technical infusion and stable domination and getting ready for future challenges,” he said.

Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May on 22 April in response to the Pahalgam Terror Attack. Operation targeted Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Pojk) and the terrorist infrastructure across the Line of Control within Pakistan, resulting in over 100 terrorists affiliated to groups such as Jai-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahine.

India damaged Radar Infrastructure, Communication Center and Airfield in 11 Pakistani airbase during the operation. Following the Indian attacks, Pakistan resorted to cross-border shelling and drone attacks, targeting civil areas, after which India carried out more accurate attacks under the retaliation of Pakistan’s provocation. On May 10, there was a military growth to prevent hostility between the two countries.

Meanwhile, in a weekly media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India’s resolve to counter terrorism and urged the international community to make Pakistan accountable for continuous support for terrorist organizations. He emphasized the need for global unity in fighting terrorism in all his forms and expressions.

Earlier this month, Lieutenant General Srivastava also visited the battalions of the presidents posted in South Kashmir, where he reviewed the security operations and praised the soldiers for the execution of his plan and Operation Caler and Operation Nadar. These operations inspired six hardcore terrorists to end and recover a large cash of shops like war. (AI)
