A third defendant, 38 -year -old Shaan Karim, was removed from all the allegations.
The test heard that Abdulrahman had asked to move the cells as he did not feel safe on a day before he was killed, the cause of his death was being given as a fatal bleeding based on his brain.
In a phone call to her mother, Karim said that Abdulrahman’s 35 -week jail sentence for a sexual offense, due to “terrorizing her for days”, was heard by the court.
After an incident in the previous day in which Abdulrahman allegedly threw water from a kettle in Smith and Robinson, CCTV showed the pair entering their cell, which continued in their morning after being unlocked by a jail officer.
In the footage, Robinson – who was found guilty of murder – could be seen smiling as he and Smith made their way into Abdulrahman’s cell, where they spent about 37 seconds.
Prosecution lawyer Michael Buroz Casey told the court that Karim placed a “watch” outside the cell, while Robinson and Smith were attacking Mr. Abdulrahman, stamping their heads and necks.
All three defendants denied the intention of killing Mr. Abdulrahman, but the prosecution alleged that they at least “shared the intention” to be seriously injured.
Mr. Baroz told the trial Smith and Robinson admitted that he entered the sale of Mr. Abdulrahman, but claimed that he wanted to talk to him only about the incident related to the kettle on the previous day.

After half an hour after the attack, Mr. Beroz said, the three defendants returned to different points to see Abdulrahman’s cell and on two occasions, the other prisoners threw water at him to see if it would “jerk him back into life”.
Another prisoner told a jail officer that he should investigate Abdulrahman, and found that he had slipped into the cell, and although attempts were made to revive him by the jail staff and paramedics, he was declared dead at 8.44 am.
The test reported that Abdulrahman had earlier tuberculosis, which weakened the bones in his neck.
A post -mortem examination caused several friction and hurt his head and neck, which corresponds to an attack and fracture for the ribs behind his body, which would require “at the severe end of the scale” force, Mr. Buroz told the jury.
The jury was told that, on November 25, when Smith was taken to a separate jail after the attack, she was angrily “late slip”, what he did, a jail officer told: “I am for murder, I have already left a body and if you keep f ***** with me, I will take another.”
Wyn Jones, Governor SarcoOpened in June 2023 -Run HMP Fosse Way said: “Any death in jail is a tragedy, but the murder of Mr. Abdulrahman was a heinous task. My thoughts remain with his family and people affected by his untimely death.
“Since the tragedy, we have been focused to bring those responsible for justice by working with the police to secure a convict. I hope the decisions will be closed for their family.”
