Oleg Sinyubov, head of the city’s regional military administration, said the large-scale attack on Wednesday (October 22) targeted a residential district and destroyed a pre-school facility.
Forty-eight children were evacuated to a shelter after a fire broke out following the attack, officials said.
Video shared by the State Emergency Service showed first responders carrying children out of the building.
Four people were hospitalized — two in critical condition and two in fair condition, officials said.
