Chief Secretary Bro reviews strategic road projects with head

Srinagar, June 9, KDC: Director General, Border Roads Organization (BRO), Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan, today told Chief Secretary, Atal Dulu, who is currently in the central region, especially in the central region, especially to review progress on various strategic road infrastructure projects running in border areas.

During the meeting, he discussed the strategic road projects applicable in the remote and sensitive border areas of J&K. These important projects are important for ensuring year-round connectivity in remote areas, improvement in mobility for citizens and facilitating operations of security forces.

Lieutenant General Srinivasan also apprised the Chief Secretary of some challenges faced by the BRO on the ground, especially issues related to land acquisition and forest approval that obstruct progress in many places.

The Chief Secretary assured his full assurance that the administration of J&D would provide all the necessary assistance to resolve these matters immediately. He instructed the concerned departments to streamlin the clearance and coordinate closely with the BRO officials to remove any bottlenecks.

Dulu also impressed the DG to accelerate the execution of these important infrastructure projects, which reiterates their strategic and developmental importance to the region. He outlined the need to achieve zero-mile connectivity and smooth movement of both citizens and defense personnel, especially prone to weather-inspired separation in marginal areas.

LT General Srinivasan expressed gratitude for the continuous cooperation of the administration, assuring that the BRO is committed to complete all the ongoing projects on time and the set will continue to work in mission mode to fulfill the deadline. (KDC)
