Chief of Army Staff General Pande held a high-level professional discussion with the Chief of Staff of the US Army

Indian Army Chief Manoj Pande held high-level professional discussions with US Army Chief of Staff Randy George and other senior military officials on issues of bilateral importance and ways to strengthen shared commitment to global peace and security.

Pande will be on a four-day official visit to the United States starting on February 13. He is the first Indian Army Chief to visit the country in many years.

During his ongoing official visit, General Pender reviewed the U.S. Army Honor Guard upon arrival at Fort Myers and later laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in a solemn ceremony.

He has since held “high-level professional discussions” with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George and other senior military leaders, the official post said.

General Pender visited the Army Geospatial Center at Fort Belvoir and interacted with the Vice Chancellor of the National Defense University at Fort McNair.

He also visited the Indian Embassy in Washington and interacted with Charge d’Affaires Sripriya Ranganathan and discussed important ongoing and future initiatives.
