Chhagan Bhujbal took former boss Sharad Pawar, NCP-SP on retail ass

Nagpur/Pune, 19 September (IANS) veteran NCP Minister Chhagan Bhujbal questioned the role of his former patron Sharad Pawar’s party’s party ‘some MLAs’ in the violence in Antwali-Sartiti village in Nate district in September 2023, which brought Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Petill for promotion.

However, after Pawar’s daughter and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, Bhujbal asked to present the evidence, if any, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who also handles the Home Department.

During a meeting of the All India Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad in Nagpur, Bhujbal mentioned the events. “Gerange-Patil staged hunger attacks at least 25 times. Nobody used to note. But, two years ago, he was on hunger strike and refused to go to the hospital as per the request by the police. However, last night, some MLAS from NCP (SP) participated. Some MLAs participated. At that time, but the support of Nekpi (SP), but the support of Nekpi (SP),” Bhujabal said without name.

However, Bhujbal on Friday clarified that he did not name NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar to be behind it. “Whatever I have said is on the video,” he said.

Sule responded to Bhujbal and said that she considers him as a father and has a deep respect for him. “With a folded hand, I request Bhujbal ji to tell everyone about the details of the meeting. When was it held, where was it held and who participated in it?” He said.

Sule further said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also keeps the portfolio of the house. “In case of such information possession, it should be given to the Home Department,” he said. “When Bhujbal was with the Shiv Sena, he used to praise Balasaheb Thackeray. Then for 20 years, Sharad Pawar became its leader. Now, he thinks that Devendra Fadnavis is his leader. This is democracy. It is a democracy. Everyone has the right to say what he wants,” said Sule.

Rajpurkar, the head of the NCP (SP) OBC unit, was more direct and said that Bhujbal’s identity as an OBC leader is due to Sharad Pawar. Rajpurkar said, “If it was not for Sharad Pawar, Bhujbal is not identified by an OBC leader … If Bhujbal is actually concerned about OBC, he should donate his property to the needy OBC,” said Rajpurkar. He said that Bhujbal was targeting Pawar after taking a contract (betel nut) from someone.
