Check PIB facts. Check seven examples of misinformation amidst increasing stress

Amid increased tension between India and Pakistan between India and Pakistan on the terrorist camps of Pakistan and Pakistan, Pakistan’s harmful elements have tried to deliberately vandalize the ground reality with a misunderstanding for the Indian public with a objective.

After India’s vengeance during Operation Sindoor against the terrorist attack in Pahgam on 22 April, intensive misunderstanding campaign was launched by Pakistan -based social media handle, which was active and successfully debunted by an investigation into the fact of the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

PIB’s fact-check unit debunted seven examples in late Wednesday and early Thursday, which showed the Pakistani side making a story in support of them.

In a press brief, the Fact Czech unit compiled seven examples, banned them, kept the facts straight and slammed the misinformation spread for disintegration.

The unit rejected a video claiming a drone attack in Jalandhar, given that it was an unrelated video of a field fire. The PIB unit also said that the video timeline was posted at 7:39 pm, while the drone attack by Pakistan began much later. He was supported by the District Collector of Jalandhar

Another video incorrectly claimed that an Pakistani Army attack destroyed an Indian post, which was debunned by the fact-check unit, confirming that the video was staged and was part of Pakistan’s campaign. The unit said there was no “20 Raj Battalion” in the Indian Army, shown in the video.

An old video was also claimed that Pakistan had launched a missile attack on India, but the unit recognized it as footage from an explosive attack in Beirut, Lebanon in 2020.

Information about an ‘Fidin’ attack on an army brigade in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir was widely broadcast, but the fact-creating unit confirmed that no such attack took place, claimed claims to mislead the claim and create confusion.

An alleged confidential letter of the army staff, General VK Narayan, was debunted about the preparations of the army, and the PIB confirmed that General Narayan is not a COAS, and the letter was fully coined.

In another case of debating, PIB highlighted an baseless claim on social media, where the Indian Army used Ambala airbase to attack Amritsar and its citizens.

Another post banned the alleged entry into airports across India, which the fact was banned by the Czech unit, confirmed that no such decision was taken by the central government.

The PIB fact check efforts in inciting fake news and busting myths have been important in maintaining public belief and trying to destroy the nation through misinformation during such time. (AI)
