Bihar Assembly elections were held in two phases – the first on 6 November and the second on 11 November – in all 243 constituencies. There are a total of 7.42 crore registered voters, of which 3.92 crore are men and 3.5 crore are women. Voting percentage was high with 65.08% voting in the first phase and 68.76% in the second phase i.e. total 66.91% voting.
Exit polls released on 11 and 12 November indicated a clear advantage for the ruling NDA, with a comfortable lead over the grand alliance.
