46 -year -old Annabel Ruk was found Wounded badly in a house In Dumont Road, Stoke Newton, North-East London, before 5 am on Tuesday.
He worked for a charity that he co-established the Mamasuz CIC, who supported refugees and migrant women, some of whom escaped from domestic violence with art and drama activities.
A 44 -year -old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to the hospital for treatment for slash wounds.
The Metropolitan police said that it is believed that Ms. Ruk’s death is a “domestic-related incident”.
The force said that it is not looking for anyone else regarding suspected murder.
Ms. Ruk’s LinkedIn Profile says she worked with “marginalized and displaced people” for 20 years.
His charity Mamasuze is a “joyful, inclusive place dedicated to enhancing the lives of women and children who are saved from forcibly displacement and gender-based violence”.
Detective’s Chief Superintendent Britney Clarke, who leads policing in the local area, said: “This is a very sad event and our views are with the victim’s family in this difficult time.”
He said that the force would conduct an interview with the suspect as soon as possible.
Ms. Clarke said, “We understand what happened within the hakni community and the residents may be expected to see an increased police presence in a crime site as well as a crime site, as we investigate.”
“We are working closely with our partners in the Haikney Council to support the residents at the local level who have been affected by it.”
