Chandrababu Naidu asked collectors to focus on getting 15 PC growth rate

Amravati, 16 September (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asked district collectors to make efforts to achieve 15 percent growth rate.

He said that during 2024–25, the state achieved a growth rate of 12.02 percent and the target should be 15 percent.

Addressing the concluding session of the two -day conference of collectors and police superintendents, he said that some districts have recorded good growth rates, while some other districts have not increased.

He instructed the collectors to focus on increasing the growth rate, and also focused on employment generation and increased the level of satisfaction of the people.

He asked the SPS to give top priority to maintain law and order in the state and reduce the crime rate by 35 percent. He said that officers should bring quantum changes in three months.

The Chief Minister said that the government was moving forward with an ambitious scheme for development and there should be no compromise on achieving the growth rate. He said that the authorities should focus on employment generation with new ideas.

Saying that the right persons were deployed at the right place, the Chief Minister said that he is giving preference to interact with young IAS and IPS officers and motivate them to reach goals.

“We are in an inspirational time,” CM Naidu told the authorities and advised them to use technology for better results.

Including Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring GST reforms, the Chief Minister said that more reforms should be followed to make India number one in the world. At the same time, product perfection in the country should be achieved. He said that priority should be given to maintain law and order in the state to establish confidence among investors.

He mentioned that the government is promoting a family- through providing skill development training to an entrepreneurial criteria and working from the concept of the house. He advised the officials to replace the office environment and focus on solar energy on the roof, even in police offices, giving priority to green energy. He asked the authorities to switch to electric vehicles. He said that the circular economy should be given priority, and the cost of logistics should be reduced by improving road, rail and sea infrastructure.

The Chief Minister advised the officials to prioritize health. He said that the state government is spending Rs 20,000 crore on health and emphasized the need to cut budget on health using technology.

The Chief Minister also said that it is the responsibility of everyone to protect the handicrafts and on the basis of handicrafts. He said that model panchayats should be developed in tribal areas to take development works. He advised the excise officials to bring out a policy to maintain digital payments to establish transparency.
