The Chief Education Officer of Doda on Friday suspended two teachers to incorrectly mark the online attendance while being physically absent from the UPS Bagh, Zone Thihari in Doda district.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, the Chief Education Officer said that a telephone complaint was received about the unauthorized absence of teachers in UPS Bagh, Zone Thihari. It was reported that although four teachers have been assigned to the school, only one teacher was present on June 20.
“According to the JKSED portal, three teachers were recorded as the current, while one was marked on leave. On verifying the actual situation with Diljit Singh, the only current teacher, it was confirmed that no other teachers were present in the school, and the attendance was being recorded from outside the school premises, which indicates negligence and analysts.
“Diljit Singh also provided a picture of the arrival/departure register, which clearly indicates that other teachers were not present in the school,” he said
CEO Doda mentioned that, in the light of these facts, both teachers, Sandeep Singh (GLT) and Malika (Teacher Grade II), Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) were immediately suspended under Rule 31 (1) of 1956.
He further stated that during the suspension period, the two officers need to be stationed in the UPS Bagh and are banned from leaving the station without prior permission from underlined.
