Center Mulles can take internal security in Loc, CRPF J&K: Reporting Center Mulles: Report

New Delhi: The Central Government is deploying villages and Rashtri Rifles (RR) from villages and villages in Jammu and Kashmir with a line of control to further strengthen and strengthen border security, ETV India quoted officials in the Union Home Ministry.

Officials said the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), after finalizing the decision, will take charge of internal security of Jammu and Kashmir.

Regarding development, a government official said, “Both the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs are holding meetings on the issue. However, nothing has been decided so far.”

A senior CRPF official said that the process is in constant discussion between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The officer said on the condition of anonymity, “Once a final decision is taken, the formal deputation of CRPF will begin to maintain law and order in J&K.”

Recently, the Center ordered the deployment of three CRPF battalions in the Jammu region to strengthen the terrorist security grid. These units will be taken from RR units posted in Udampur and Kathua districts, each battalion will have about 800 personnel operating power.

Sources said that the Center has planned to hand over paramilitary forces in Kashmir, including Kashmir.

Sources further said that the government has been working on this new security blueprint for almost two years after “reform” after finishing Article 370 of Article 370 from the former state of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019.

At the same time, Pahalgam terror attack required an increase in vigilance on borders to plug any infiltration of foreign terrorists, such as people involved in the city attack. Sources said that it is believed that the terrorist involved in the April 22 attack used to infiltrate from across the border a few months before the attack.

Security experts took the required decision to deput CRPF for internal security of J&K.

“It is a good decision to depute CRPF for the overall internal security of J&K. The Army (RR) has been well trained to guard India’s border with Pakistan, while CRPF is well trained to ensure the country’s internal security,” the security expert and BSF SS Kothiyal’s pre -Kothiyal excavation described ETV BHARAT.

According to Kothiyal, if the current status of J&K is taken into consideration, CRPF is the best option to maintain law and order situation.

It was during the 1990s, the central government established and deputed the National Rifle in J&K to combat the growing extremism in the Kashmir Valley. According to the records referred to by ETV Bharat, RR is a special resonance force made of Indian Army personnel.

However, internal security expert Prakash Singh said that along with CRPF, the Border Security Force (BSF) should also be deputed for the internal security of Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh said, “CRPF has good ability for internal security. However, it was BSF which was previously deputed for internal security of J&K. Therefore, the government should also think about assigning the BSF for internal security of J&K,” Singh said.

CRPF completely replaced the BSF in counter-ethics work in Jammu and Kashmir around 2005. The BSF was deputed for internal security duties in J&K, especially in the 1990s, after extremism began. The infection recommended by a group of ministers after the 1999 Kargil War was aimed at focusing the BSF to focus on its primary role to guard the country’s borders, while CRPF was specific in internal security duties.
