The central government has announced to provide Z-category security cover with armed paramilitary commandos to the new spiritual leader of Radha Somi Sasan Bias Jasdeep Singh Gill. The Union Home Ministry has handed over Gill’s security responsibilities to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Jasdeep Singh Gill, 45, was given this security after intelligence agencies received threat information.
According to sources, a team of 12 to 14 commandos will remain with them in 24-hour shifts. Let us tell you that Radha Swami Satsang Beas is located on the banks of Beas River near Amritsar in Punjab. He has a large following at home and abroad.
Jasdeep Singh Gill was appointed head of the community last month. He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge. His father Sukhdev Singh Gill, who retired as an Army colonel, has been living in Beas for the past two decades.

Class Z safety
A total of 33 security personnel are deployed in Category Z security. Ten armed guards of the armed forces guarded the dignitary’s home. Six 24-hour PSOs, 12 armed escort commandos (three shifts), two shift duty officers and three trained drivers are on hand 24 hours a day.
