New Delhi, October 4 (IANS) on Saturday urged Indian goods, Union Home Minister Amit Shah to celebrate Diwali with indigenous spirit, urged people to adopt Swadeshi and adopt foreign goods on Saturday and that the resolution of 140 crore citizens will make the country ‘supreme’.
After addressing the ceremony for the launch of Mhaje Ghar Plan and the launch of the foundation of various development projects, the Home Minister was later addressing a public meeting with Panaji.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister and North Goa MP Shripad Naik and Rajya Sabha member Sadanand Shet Tanawad also attended the event.
During the launching program of ‘Mhaje Ghar Yojana’, Union Minister Amit Shah said, “This scheme is not just a government scheme. It is a symbol of responsible regime. It represents a sensitive and civil-centered administration, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, works carefully for reforms for BJP governments.”
“The scheme aims to provide legal recognition and ownership rights to the Goan citizens, whose houses were caught in various legal tangles, in total about 11 different legal complications. Since tomorrow, they will be able to say proudly: This is my home; this is my home; it is really mine.
Trading its guns against the Congress, Union Minister Shah said, “When the BJP started winning continuously in Goa, the Congress used to say that it is a very small state. Whether the state is small or big, the citizens living in it are citizens of India.”
He said, “PM Modi has imagined the dream of making India a developed country by 2047, but given the pace of plans and development by Goa, it seems that Goa will be fully developed by 2035-2037.”
On the eradication of income tax for those who earn up to Rs 12 lakh, he said, “PM Modi recently, citizens … We should try to make our Goa the first fully developed state in the country in the coming days …”
