The Economic Offenses Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) has arrested four of the seven accused individuals involved in corruption, deception, false mutation and incorrectly insertion case after thorough investigation on the basis of evidence.
“An FIR no. 14/2025 U/S 167,420, 120-B RPC R/W 5 (2) Prevention of Corruption Act SVT 2006. Differently 09.07.2025 The stand is registered against seven persons, including two revenue officers to include two revenue officers in corruption. Supervisor (KNO).
It has been written in the statement that these involved people are working in an organized manner, causing adequate financial loss and pain to Bhola people in the district Srinagar and District Budgam areas.
The arrested accused individuals are riyaz ahmad bhat s/o ghulam mohammad bhat r/o nowgam srinagar, mohammad shafi line @ Shaff cheeni s/o abdul ahad line r/o hose no. 187 Sec B, Peerbagh Srinagar, Shahnawaz Ahmad Rather S/O Noor Mohammad Rather R/O Padshahi Bagh Srinagar and Shabir Ahmad Wani S/O Mohammad Ismail wani r/o Bagandar Lasan.
It is appropriate to mention that the alleged accused Nusrat Aziz D/O Abdul Aziz Lone R/O Gurez A/P Mehjur Nagar Srinagar (Tehsildar) applied for “bail”, however, it was canceled by the court of Anti -Corruption Judge Srinagar. The statement said, “The Tehsildar has been in a big way since then and is making his arrest. He has also included four other FIRs (two Crime Branch Kashmir and ACB in Kashmir two),” the statement states.
In addition, the other two accused people are ashiq Ali S/O Ghulam Rasool Kan R/O Panner Jagir A/P Haval Srinagar (then Patwari, Balhama Srinagar) and Shamima Akhmer W/O Mohammad Shafi Lone R/O Goripora Rawalpo.
