Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade: Parade Route, Road Closure

The voices of vibrant colors, wide costumes, spiritted mascarders and Sosa music will be taken to the Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade on Saturday to Lakeshore in Toronto.

The parade, which starts at 8 am and runs till 8 pm, will travel from the exhibition place to Canada Bulleward, WestBound Lake Shore Bulleward West. The lake will then move west with noise, take a turn to the west of Jameson Avenue and then travel east on the lake noise. The Masquerade band will return to the exhibition place to do justice through Canada Bulleward.

With the Pride Parade, the Toronto police say they will have additional security measures for a grand parade and during the evening hours.

“The officials would have increased visibility throughout the weekend to provide mob and traffic management and ensure public safety,” police said.

Police are expecting more people in restaurants and nightclubs during the evening hours and say they will have dedicated resources in the downtown core and waterfront area.

Road closure

Drivers can expect a delay in traffic as several roads on the lake noise bullets on Saturday and Sunday will be made from the closure and there will be ramps on the local roads along with the Gardiner Expressway.

Lake Shor Bulleward West on Saturday at 12 noon on traffic from West Bound Streche Avenue to Park shouldoid drive, and the lake noise bullet from Calbourne Lodge Drive to Streche Avenue East

Starting from 1 pm on Saturday, the gate vehicles of the princes will remain closed for traffic.

Due to the closure of the following road, it will be effective from 12 am to 7 am on Saturday:

  • Lake noise from Fort York Bulleward to Kolbourne Lodge Drive West
  • Fleet Street to Strencing Avenue Southbound
  • Lake Shore Boleward will be open to west only between West Bathst Bathst Street and Fort York Bullewards only for local traffic

The following Gardiner Expressway ramps will be closed at 12 noon on Saturday:

  • Westbound Gardiner Expressway on the ramp in Jameson Avenue
  • Eastbound Gardiner Expressway from Ramp in Jameson Avenue
  • Eastbound Gardiner Expressway on the ramp from Jameson Avenue, and Lake Shor Boleward West on British Columbia Road
  • Dun Avenue at West Bound Gardiner Expressway of Ramp

The following roads will be limited to local traffic only:

  • Dufferin Street South of King Street West
  • Dolling Avenue south of King Street West
  • Stadium Road to South of Lake Shor Bulleward West
  • Queens Que West to West of Bathst Street
  • Springharst Avenue, East and West of Jameson Avenue
  • Remind campaign

Parking and touched vehicles

Police say that in the south of King Street West, the East of the Kolbourne Lodge Drive and the West of the Bathst Street will be “strictly implemented” for parking violations.

All vehicles, including tour buses, will be illegally parked and tagged on the following roads and areas:

  • Lake Shor Bulleward West (including grassy area)
  • Bathers
  • Fleet Street
  • King Street West
  • Queen Street West
  • Ronsevless avenue
  • Dufferin Street
  • Queensway
  • Parkdale area
  • Stadium road

TTC route diversity

503 Kingston Road (8 am to Saturday to 1 pm to Sunday): The 503 Kingston RD Streetcar will be extended to the King Street West and the Sunnis Loop on the Queensway. Stops not served: Dufferin Street between King Street West and Dufferin Gate Loop.

29 | 329 | 929 Dufferin (12 pm from Saturday to Saturday to 4 am to Sunday): 29/329 Dufferin and 929 Dufferin Express buses will turn north towards Dufferin Gate Loop. Stops not served: Exhibition location.

307 Bathst Night Bus (12 am to 4 am to Sunday): 307 Bathst Buses will be operated on both Bathst Street, Fort York Bulleward, Fleet Street, Manitoba Drive and Exhibition Loop in both ways. Stops not served: Fort York Bulleward Fleet Street in South, Lake Shor Bulleward West, Streche Avenue.

80 Queensway (8 to 8 am to Saturday): 80 Queensway Buses will only bend the east for the east for the route regularly, north on the Howard Park Avenue, on the Howard Park Avenue on Ronswells Avenue, on the Howard Park Avenue. Stops not served: Northebound Parknetside Drive between Howard Park Avenue and Queensway.
