Five wedding guests were killed and three others injured after their car collided with a guardrail here and turned into a turtle, police said on Sunday.
They said the victim was traveling from Greater Noida to Deoria in Bihar late on Saturday night when the speeding car came on the Yamuna Expressway near Cooperpur within the limits of Etmadpur police station An accident occurred while turning on the highway.
ACP Sukanya Sharma said, “Five people died and three others were injured in a speeding car in Agra. The driver was drunk.” “The injured were shifted to SN Medical College and Hospital for treatment,” she said.
The victim was from Greater Noida and had traveled to Deoria in Bihar to attend a wedding. ACP said other family members who were behind the car informed police after the incident.
Further inquiries are ongoing and family members of the deceased have been contacted. The official added that the body has been sent for autopsy.
