New Delhi:
He said today that former Punjab Chief Minister and BJP leader Amarinder Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed many issues related to farmers.
“Had a detailed meeting with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji on a wide range of issues related to Punjab including issues related to farmers,” Mr Singh said in a post on X.
The meeting comes amid the ongoing protest by farmers, mostly from Punjab, who on Monday rejected the Centre’s proposal to procure pulses, maize and cotton at minimum support price (MSP) for five years by government agencies and started marching. Repeated his call. The national capital, among other demands, is demanding legal guarantees for the MSP regime.
