Washington-a dual Canadian-American citizen who is accused by the United States officials was part of a deadly human trafficking operation, which left the migrants immersed in the St. Lawrence River, will remain in custody on Tuesday after a hearing in a custody in the northern district of New York District Court.
The US Department of Justice said that 34 -year -old Timothy Ox was arrested as they attempted to enter the United States on 15 June.
The oxes, which are from the Akwasan, which entered the west of the Canada-US border to the west of Montreal, included in April to plot with others to smuggle the Canadian people in the United States, as well as four cases of foreign trafficking and four cases of death as a result of death.
The US court documents allege that the Ox had a significant feature in the smuggling operation, which in March 2023 left a Romanian family of four, including two young children.
The family, who was not nominated in the US court documents, has been identified as Florin Eordche, his wife Christina (Monalisa) Zenida Eordche, his two -year -old daughter Avelin and one -year -old son Eleen.
New York John A. “The matter indicates the terrible threats to cross the border illegally,” the US Attorney of Sarcon III said in a news release on Tuesday. “Four family members died as a smuggling network put them in the way of damage.”
The court documents alleged that the Ox smuggled regularly in the United States by a boat across the St. Lawrence River. The documents stated that they were paid $ 1,000 per person.
The court documents stated that the Ox had kept the Romanian family in March 2023 for about 24 hours before transporting with a boat at a public launch site. His brother, Casey Ox, was piloting the boat to reach North New York.
The boat eventually captured, killing all four members of the migrant family and the brother of Ox.
A family of four from India was also on a boat and drowned but did not involve his death in the US prosecution against Ox.
Last year, RCMP announced his arrest in connection with the death of 50 -year -old Praveenbhai Chaudhary, his 45 -year -old wife Dakshaben, his 20 -year -old son and his daughter Vidhi, 23.
Law enforcement has stated that the geography of the integration on the international border makes it a popular place for smugglers of both humans and contrast.
The US Justice Department said that the new tragedy about the dangerous conditions on the St. Lawrence River on the day of drowning is in the new tragedy.
The United States -based Dakota Montur, 31, Kaviciath Sellasia Sharo, 43, and 45 -year -old Janet Terence, entered the guilty arguments in relation to the first tragedy.
The news release stated that Montore admitted that he knew about dangerous weather – high winds, cold temperatures and limited visibility – yet a family of four was still loaded into a small boat.
Matthew R, head of Criminal Division of Justice Department. Geloti said, “As allegedly, ox and his co-scriptors earned a profit from the operation of a human trafficking with the purpose of a unique, cold heart: earning money by bringing illegal aliens in the United States, earning money, regardless of the danger of human life,” Matthew R, “Matthew R. Geloti said in the news release.
“A mother, a father and two young children died as a result of their greed, as well as one of the defenders of the defendants.”
