Condemning the use of the word ‘terrorist’ for the enemies of humanity, Dr. Abhijeet Jasrotia asked J&K administration, politicians, media and other quarters to use the word ‘terrorists’ for those who terrorize, kill innocent, and conspiring against the state.
Dr. Abhijeet Jesrotia, spokesperson J&K BJP along with ASEM Gupta, Vice President and Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was addressing a press conference in the media in -charge party headquarters, Tricuta Nagar, Jammu.
Dr. Jasrotia said that the recent Pahalgam massacre was a heinous work that should be unevenly condemned. He urged politicians, media and J&K administration to avoid such persons as “terrorists”, saying that they are called “terrorists”.
Given that inappropriate terminology damages the sentiments of the families of the victims and humiliates the sacrifices of the security forces, he called Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for a formal instruction, which compulsory the use of the word “terrorist” in all media and official communication.
Dr. Jasrotia also criticized the use of “terrorist” from the Chief Minister’s chair during the assembly proceedings and appealed to all political leaders to set an example to avoid the term.
He praised the Modi government for taking a similar issue with the BBC and demanded continuous action against the misuse of vocabulary by newspapers and news channels in Jammu and Kashmir.
