Train services are available throughout south yorkshire Thieves face serious damage after stealing signal cables, national railways Confirmed.
The incident occurred in Conisborough between Doncaster and Sheffield, affecting CrossCountry, Northern and TransPennine Express services.
National Rail warned of reduced train numbers, cancellations, delays and modified or rerouted routes between the two stations.
The disruption is expected to continue throughout New Year’s Eve.
Network Rail sent staff to the scene to investigate the theft.
