Bus touched high tension wire in Jaipur, 2 laborers died, more than 10 got burnt

A major accident took place in Manoharpur area of ​​Jaipur on Tuesday when a sleeper bus carrying brick kiln workers came in contact with a high tension power line.

According to News18 report, two passengers died on the spot, while more than ten people sustained serious burn injuries.

The injured were taken to Shahpura sub-district hospital and five of them were later referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment.

The bus, which was carrying workers at a brick kiln at Todi near Manoharpur from Uttar Pradesh, caught fire after touching the wire roof, causing powerful electrical current to spread through the vehicle.

As soon as the information was received, police and administrative officials reached the spot and started rescue operations. Firefighters brought the fire under control while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.
