Budgam police arrested three terrorist colleagues

Budgam, 16 May (KDC): In a rift against the terrorist network, the Budgam police allegedly linked to three terrorist associates with the accused Terror Outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LAT).

Police said arrests were made in Kavosa Narbal area of ​​Magam. The confident persons have been identified as Mujamil Ahmed and Ishfaq Pandit – both of the residents of AGGALTANT and Munir Ahmed of Meripora Birwah.

According to officials, weapons, including a pistol and a hand grenade, were recovered from their possession at the time of arrest.

The police have registered a case under FIR No 66/2025 at Police Station Magam under the relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and further investigation is going on.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the three were in close contact with active terrorist Abid Qayum Loan, Abdul Qayum Lone’s son and resident of Wuson Pattan. Aabid is believed to have been left in Pakistan in 2020, where he formally joined late.

Police said the handler, who is now working with Pakistan, is actively involved in making the youth radical in the region, motivating them to join the terror rank, and directing the local operatives to execute terror-related functions in Budgam’s Narbal-Magam Belt.

The arrested person, according to the investigation, was allegedly working on loan instructions and working to execute terrorist plots and woo more youth in extremism.

Officials said the investigation is on and is expected to arrest and recovery as the investigation is deep. (KDC)
