After years of contentious legal battles, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s bitter divorce proceedings appear to be coming to an end, with Pitt reportedly giving up his pursuit of joint custody of their children.
According to a source citing dailymail.comThe former couple have been embroiled in a bitter court battle since their separation in 2016 and are currently in negotiations.
Their protracted legal battle is expected to end this summer.
Pitt initially sought a 50/50 custody arrangement for their six children, but is now said to have no longer contested the matter.
Angelina is set to retain primary custody of the children, while Brad will receive visitation rights.
The decision comes at a time when most of their offspring have reached adulthood, with only 17-year-old Shiloh, Knox and Vivian, both 15, still minors. Shiloh will be due in May 18 years or older.
Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, are now legally considered adults and are no longer covered by the custody agreement.
There have been reports that the eldest children have a strained relationship with Pitt, with Parks reportedly cutting off contact with him after a highly publicized argument on a private jet.
