Bhubaneswar, 19 September (IANS) In a significant development, the rare Black Tiger of Similipal is depicted on the cover page of the October edition of the famous National Geographic Magazine, which is observed for its beautiful wildlife stories and world class photography.

The Odisha Forest Department on Friday claimed that the publication of a story on Black Tigers of Simliple in such a prestigious magazine will help promote Odisha’s tourism on the global stage.

The specially displayed story, titled “The Tigers Hu Changing My Strips”, focuses on the elusive black tigers of the Similipal Sanctuary and highlights the efforts of the Odisha government’s forest, environment and climate change department in tiger transfer and protection.
