The Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a drone which was allegedly carrying three packets of heroin in the border area of Amritsar district.
An official statement issued by the BSF said, “On the evening of 28 February 2024, BSF troops intercepted a suspicious flying object in the border area of District Amritsar and immediately tracked, neutralized and detected its movement as per prescribed procedure “

BSF said that it has also recovered a mobile phone and signal related items.
During search of the possible drop area, at about 8.05 hrs, alert troops successfully recovered 01 hexacopter and 03 packets of suspected heroin associated with it (total weight – approximately 3.030 kg). Apart from this, a mobile phone along with other signal accessories was also recovered. And a rubber illuminating ball was also recovered,” the press release said.
Earlier, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab stopped the activity of a suspicious drone in Tarn Taran district on Wednesday morning.
BSF recovered the drone during a joint search operation with Punjab Police in a field near Kalash Havelian village.
