Bollywood is not unfair if you are resilient: Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for his upcoming series Showtime, which will be aired on Disney+ Hotstar. At the trailer launch of the show, the actor was asked what kind of place Bollywood is.

The trailer launch of the upcoming web series “Showtime” was held in Mumbai on Tuesday. The event was attended by key cast and crew members of the show, including Emraan Hashmi, who was asked what it takes to get lost in the film industry. To this, the actor responded that it all depends on one’s point of view. “When people say Bollywood is a very bad place or an unfair place, I think that’s the perspective of someone who works here,” he said. He continued, “If you’re resilient and To be able to take it in stride, I don’t think it’s an unfair place to be.”

Emraan Hashmi’s web series Showtime will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on March 8. The film is directed by Mihir Desai and Achit Kumar. The cast of the show also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal and Vishal Vashishtha. The show is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Mihir Desai under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment.

In 2023, Emraan played the role of a villain in the blockbuster film Tiger 3. The film is directed by Manish Sharma and stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It became the fifth highest grossing Hindi film of 2023 and the eighth highest grossing Indian film. The movie will be released on November 12, 2023.
