On Friday afternoon, the body of a young man who went missing after a boat at Dal Lake near Duck Park was recovered by the rescue team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Saturday morning.
An official told the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the body of the missing youth of Chopan Mohalla was found in Rainwari after a night’s suspension throughout the night due to poor visibility.
He said that the body was found after the search operation with the first light in the morning. He was identified as 24 -year -old Taufiq Ahmed Chopan, a resident of 24 -year -old Chopan Mohalla.
Earlier, the boat had thrown two fishermen into water, amidst the winds. While one of them, Abdul Majeed Khosa of Raatri was rescued shortly after the incident, Chopan could not be detected on Friday despite several attempts. – (KNO)
