As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the BJP has entered into a seat-sharing agreement with the Karnataka Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (Secular Party). It is learned that HD Deve Gowda-led party has managed to secure three seats as part of the seat-sharing arrangement.
Sources said JDS will contest from Mandya, Hassan and Kolar seats in Karnataka. Also in Bengaluru Rural, Mr Deve Gowda’s CN Manjunath will also contest on the BJP’s lotus symbol.
Days after the BJP announced its candidates for 20 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state, JDS leaders expressed their concerns to the party leadership.
During a meeting with former prime minister Deve Gowda and his son and senior JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy, leaders said the BJP leaders were not concerned about their upcoming elections Plan with confidence.
They said the BJP leaders did not call them to any meeting, which was harmful to the party.
