New Delhi, as September 17 (IANS), India marked the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, tribute during the political spectrum not only in the celebration, but for a leader in reverence for a leader, whose influence has changed the governance and has entered the purview of personal change.
Among those who offered heartfelt reflections, were VD Sharma, former BJP President of Madhya Pradesh, who recalled his early encounters with Prime Minister Modi during his student activism with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
BJP leader Sharma said, “It was at the National Conference in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, PM Modi spoke words that shape my vision for public life,” BJP leader Sharma said.
Despite the bureaucracy resistance, he recalled PM Modi’s firm vow to make Gujarat self-reliant in power-a promise that was fulfilled through the sheer will and strategic plan.
“I have adopted his (PM Modi’s) words: ‘Maina’s blindness is, but lamp burn is the mind’ – even in the most dark hours, which refuses the light of a lamp?” Manju Sharma, a member of Parliament from Jaipur, paid a deep personal tribute to the Prime Minister.
“The warm and sociable personality of the brilliant Prime Minister has always inspired me and countless BJP workers,” he said.
Recalling his time working with PM Modi in 1988, when he served as the General Secretary of the Gujarat BJP organization, he spoke of the values ββhe said – service, dedication and disciplined organization.
He shared a poignant memory of PM Modi while talking to his father in his last days.
“Papa ji said to him, ‘You are increasing the pride of the country,’ to which PM Modi replied, ‘I have only learned from you.’ The moment not only detected the depth of his bond, but also humility and grace which defines Modiji’s leadership. “
Vijendra Gupta, Delhi Assembly Speaker and Rohini BJP MLA, reflected on his three decades of cooperation with Prime Minister Modi.
“When I saw him as an organization minister, I saw his unique ability to guide and uplift the workers,” he said.
He recalled a moment when he contacted PM Modi with challenges.
“He (PM Modi) said to me,” The problem should be seen as a solution – work on what can be a solution. ” That philosophy has directed my path since then. ,
