BJP is likely to announce new Jammu and Kashmir office bearrs, Morcha chief soon

Web Desk, 12/07/2025

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) new UT office carriers and front presidents are likely to be declared soon as the party has been learned to finalize names during a high level meeting in New Delhi on Friday.

Quoting sources in the BJP circle, the Daily Excelsier said that along with Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Sat Sharma, General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Kaul had a detailed meeting with BJP National General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh and General Secretary Jammu -Kashmir, Tarun Chugh to discuss several important matters in New Delh last evening with Jammu -Kashmir, Tarun Chugh.

Sources said that some party issues about the land for Ladakh and BJP office along with the new state office bearrs and Morcha heads in Jammu and Kashmir came to discuss during the meeting.

Sources said that the final list of office bearrs and Morcha heads will be sent to BJP National President JP Nadda for their formal approval and the same is likely to be made public within the same days, the sources said.

To mention that the announcement of the new office carrier of Jammu and Kashmir was pending for the last several months due to disagreement on some possible names.

According to sources, the proposed list of office beer and Morcha Heads was prepared by Sat Sharma in consultation with Ashok Kaul and it was sent to BL Santosh for a fortnight.

However, sources said, the higher command suggested some minor changes in the proposed names to represent all classes and asked to present a new list for final approval.

The carrier of the body office includes three general secretaries, eight vice -presidents, eight secretaries, treasurer, chief spokesperson, IT cell and charge social media.

In addition, there are seven Morchas in the BJP, including young men Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Kisan Morcha, SC Morcha, St. Morcha, OBC Morcha and Minority Morcha.

Sources confirmed that no sitting MLA is being accommodated in the state body or morchas in the organization, while an attempt has been made to combine the caste combination in the selection of the proposed office beer to represent each section of the society.

Therefore, sources said, the high command was in disagreement over some recommendations, which have been replaced with absolutely new people.

A clear stand by a high command against adjusting any sitting MLA in the state body has once again motivated the removal of a proposed name for the general secretary, while a former Rajput councilor and a woman district president are likely to be safe for the post of general secretary.

Sources further claimed that three out of seven fronts were expected to be repeated. Although it has not been confirmed, sources said that the Indian Janta Yuva Morch (BJYM), minority Morcha and OBC Morcha are expected to be repeated, while Rakesh Pant, Dharminder Kumar, Neha Mahajan and Chaudhary Abdul Gani are almost finalized.

According to sources, the election of the National President of New BJP was also part of the discussion during the meeting of Sat Sharma and Ashok Cool with BL Santosh and there was speculation that the high command could be named after the bearrs of the J&K BJP office, until the new President took over from JP Nadda.
